Peony Editorial - Part 1

I first fell in love with the Peony years ago when living and working in Anchorage, Alaska. Having grown up in Texas where only the most hardy plants survive even in the best-kept garden, I’d never seen a more luxurious bloom. Now, years later, I have had the pleasure of organizing a shoot for the Alaska Peony Cooperative, featuring their newest Peonies which will be offered in the 2020 growing season.

For this first look, we chose to focus on the rich and varied colors of about ten peony varieties. Because the focus of the project was the flowers themselves, we kept it intimate and simple, styling a romantic bridal shoot in the beautiful gardens of Walnut Hill.

This project is also featured on Southern Bride Magazine HERE.

This project involved Abigail Lewis Photography, Peonies from Alaska Peony Cooperative, Genia Church from Epiphany Salon, Angela Folmar of Luminous Beauty Boutique, Walnut Hill Farm, Noelle Head from SALT Model Agency, The Copper Quail, Tinted Studio, and Laura Lines Calligraphy.
