New York Bridal Fashion Week, SS25

My dear friend and mentor, Sarah of Sarah Bradshaw Photography, knows how much I love to live vicariously through her bridal fashion week experiences so once again, she has generously shared her galleries with me from NYC this spring.

I’ll share just a few images from some of my favorite presentations as captured through Sarah’s lens for these Spring Summer 2025 Collections.

Mira Zwillinger

Our s/s 2025 haute couture “Reflections” collection was created with a strong will to remind ourselves and others that beauty and tenderness exist all around us, we have designed rich and flowy gowns with elements that echo from the gowns themselves, and change their shape in every movement, just like reality can change in an instant.

Elie Saab

Eternal Spring

Inspired by Monet’s brushstrokes, the Bridal Spring 2025 Collection is a flourishing garden in ETERNAL SPRING. Sumptuous fabrics and enchanting textures create dreamy silhouettes that exude an aura of luminosity and wonder.

Loving all the flattering silhouettes and intricate detailing. I worked with an Elie Saab gown earlier this spring and it was a BIG DEAL that the organizer was able to pull it for our shoot.

Ines Di Santo

In contrast to the more classic lines of the collection above, I’ve highlighted gowns from the Ines Di Santo Couture Collection for Spring Summer 2025 that show more interesting lines, colors, and textures. I don’t love the digital backdrop of this presentation but it’s not out of place with the more unusual designs included in this collection.

Nardos

Nardos Imam is a renowned fashion designer who has developed a strong reputation for creating high-end, luxurious, and elegant garments….In 2012, Nardos decided to launch her own fashion house – NARDOS Couture. Her designs have been seen on many celebrities, making her one of the most sought-after designers for evening wear, couture and bridal wear, ready-to-wear clothing and accessories. Her understanding of fabrics and silhouettes are what make each piece individually special and timeless.

What I love about this collection is the attention to detail. When we stand close, we see exquisite craftsmanship and creativity. And when we move back, observing the entire piece, we don’t get caught up in the detail but are lost instead in the beauty of the figure the gown was created for. This, in my opinion, should be the ultimate goal of any gown: a piece of such incredible detail that sum of it does nothing less than feel like an extension of the person themselves, not act as a distraction or something created apart from the bride.

Markarian

Alexandra O'Neill founded luxury womenswear label Markarian in 2017. Named after a particularly radiant grouping of galaxies, Markarian combines Alexandra’s love of celestial romanticism with timeless design and modern grace. Alexandra fell in love with making clothing when her grandmother, GiGi, taught her how to sew at just 10 years old. Markarian came to life from Alexandra’s notion of designing clothing that is whimsical and playful yet wearable and beautifully made.

Her play with different fabrics here is absolutely fabulous. Unlike the daring and perhaps “I would never wear that for my wedding” looks from Di Santo, Alexandra shows a collection of gowns that carry a subtle boldness to them. These are more likely to give the wearer the overall flattering response of “wow she looks amazing” rather than “wow that dress is awesome”—focus is first on the person not the object, which I think should be the goal.

Lihi Hod

Always searching for modern elegance, Hod is known for her rich, artisanal details, romantic flair and timeless designs. Her wedding dresses combine couture-quality techniques with classic silhouettes and luxurious textures, focusing not only on the bride’s look but also on her comfort, confidence and ease.

I’m obsessed with the way Hod plays with the volume at the hips in so many of the gowns in the SS25 collection. Also in love with that low-back gown. My own wedding gown had the same backless look.

Galia Lahav

Our couture bridal gowns are known for their romantic and sensual nature and exquisite details, along with their figure-flattering silhouettes and emphasis on comfort. Galia Lahav gowns define new standards for high fashion and our models are always ahead of their time.

This fashion house always produces stunning gowns. Like Lihi Hod, this collection also leans into interesting cuts and fabric folds around the hips. I’m loving this new trend.
